About Police Research Center

Police Research Center (PRC) was established in 1981 as one of Police Academy entities by virtue of law 129/1981. The Center was founded to conduct scientific and theoretical researches in police fields; it suggests the proper solutions to overcome obstacles facing Police. The Center plays a leading role as far as security research is concerned, specifically in the Arab and African regions.

First: An Overview of the International Security Training Centers: The first Conference of African Ministers of Interior- held in Cairo during the period from 29th November to 6th December 1985- witnessed the convergence of African visions.

Organizing Seminars

As a part of the PRC annual research plan, seminars are organized annually to discuss security-related topics. Professors, national research centers, security experts and representatives of the concerned police entities participate in such seminars. 14 seminars were organized on various subjects, including: stock market crimes, environmental crimes, touristic facilities security, enhancing international cooperation in fighting terrorism and cyber terrorism.

Organizing Exhibitions

Coping with developed scientific trend adopted by Police Academy, PRC annually organizes the Ministry of Interior section at International Cairo Book Fair. This section combines recent law and security publications issued by Police Academy as well as other entities of the Ministry. Documentaries highlighting efforts exerted to protect Human Rights and develop public services.
