The service of issuing of criminal records is available in (police stations/posts) throughout Egypt. It is issued in 24 hrs by using scanner together with digital camera connected to the criminal record issuance unit. The record contains very complicated security features.

Hard copy has two application forms; the green regular criminal record, and the red urgent criminal record. Hard copy can be issued by police stations/posts, embassies, and consulates of the A.R.E abroad. Traditional ink is used in issuing the hard copy and the citizen is asked to submit personal photographs. Criminal record in a hard copy takes (48-72) hrs to be issued.

The same criminal record issuance procedures hard/automated copy are to be followed. Application form data mentioned in criminal record should be authenticated by one of criminal evidence sections officials or from the Department of Criminal Evidence Investigation. Upon the completion of verification, the criminal record should be authenticated by any of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs legalization offices.
