(2) Required documents

• The criminal record
• 2 personal photographs
• The applicant has to declare that he doesn't have a neither valid weapons permit nor an exemption certificate at present.
• Statement of justifications.
• 2 medical certificates indicating the applicant health condition to use weapon (abdominal-optics).
• Academic qualifications or illiteracy certificates, applicants above 35 years old are excused.
• The purpose (Self-defense, haunting, marksmanship, guarding, decoration)

(3) Weapon permits Conditions

The weapon permits shall not be granted in the following cases:

• The applicant is Below 21 years old.
• The applicant has been sentenced to a criminal penalty or imprisoned by at least one year for committing offences against the person, property, committing sexually-oriented crimes, or imprisoned more than once by less than one year for committing any of the previous crimes.
• The applicant has been sentenced to a custodial penalty for possession of explosives, drugs trafficking, committing/ attempting robbery or hiding stolen goods.
• The applicant has been sentenced in one of the crimes that are stated in chapter 1&2 of Penal Code (Second Volume).
• The applicant has been sentenced for committing a crime using a weapon, or the offender had a weapon while committing a crime in cases where carrying a weapon is considered an aggravating circumstance.
• The applicant is a homeless, a suspect, or on parole.
• The applicant is proved to be mentally or psychologically disordered.
• The applicant does not meet the standard health condition to use weapon (these conditions are stipulated by a Ministerial Decree).
• The applicant is unaware of safety rules in handling weapons,( these rules are stipulated by a Ministerial Decree).
